 As a community-supported organization committed to Greater Washington, D.C. Region, DC Strings Orchestra, a project of DC Strings Workshop, depends on the generosity of donors who make it possible for us to create meaningful experiences through the power of music. One of the meaningful ways to support our organization is by making an unrestricted gift. We have several giving programs and giving levels for supporters to help us keep music alive in Washington, DC.

Monthly Giving


The Duke Ellington Monthly Giving Program

By joining The Duke Ellington Monthly Giving Program, you sustain our mission to bring music to all parts of the region and inspire the next generation of youth.  

Your monthly investment guarantees that DC Strings Workshop has a base of support for its signature programs, including DC Strings Orchestra, #PlayOn Education Work, and the Hope @ Home Recital Series.

Your Impact

$10 per month symbolizes [X]: We can bring music lessons to one kid for 12 weeks during our Summer Camp Program.

$25 per month symbolizes [Y]: We can…  [insert here]. 

$50 symbolizes [Z]: We can host a workshop at a school for deserving students to explore music through strings, piano or percussion programming

Coleridge-Taylor Society


Named after the English composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, The Coleridge-Taylor Society is a 3-year annual commitment for major donors that are passionate about the vision and mission of DC Strings. This network of champions helps create a powerful platform to engage youth, musicians, artists, and educators alike to shape and expand musical opportunities, particularly to marginalized people and communities. 

DC Strings’s Coleridge-Taylor Society is a community of individuals who believe strongly in a high-quality inclusive music community in which all are welcome to experience the power of music. By giving $1,000 or more annually, Coleridge-Taylor Society members are investing in the future of our communities through the young musicians in it..

Platinum: $10,000 for 3 years

Gold: $5,000 for 3 years
