Join DC Strings Workshop as they kick off their annual gala and celebrate the musicians and teaching artists who make our programs possible. All proceeds raised at the Annual Gala and Auction will support The Accord Symphony Orchestra and DC Strings Workshop’s music programs which provide an opportunity to study an instrument at no charge to D.C. Public School and Charter School students. Special performances by The Accord Symphony Orchestra, students, and special guests.

7th Annual Benefit Concert Raising Funds and Awareness For Gun Violence Prevention in DC.

Location: Metropolitan Memorial campus of National United Methodist Church, 3401 Nebraska Ave., NW, Washington DC

Tickets are $20, all sales and donations directly benefit the TraRon Center, helping those affected by gun violence heal through the arts. The evening will also include a silent auction for a garden trowel sculpted by artist Stephanie Mercedes from a gun confiscated by DC Metropolitan Police, with all monies raised directly benefitting the TraRon Center. https://traroncenter.org/

Featuring a mix of classical and pop music, this year’s concert artists are the Accord Symphony Orchestra, DC Strings Workshop’s flagship ensemble, which, under the direction of Juan Gallastegui, is dedicated to bringing music to underserved communities in the District, Maryland and Virginia; Nikita Borisevich and Margarita Loukachkina, a dynamic violin and piano duo combo who headlined the Arts Council’s May concert; and Washington National Opera bass/baritone Christian Simmons.
