Ayanna Freelon

Ayanna Freelon is a classically trained Soprano from Grenada, Mississippi. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Minor in Theatre from Texas Southern in Houston, Texas and her Masters from Morgan State. Notable accomplishments include the Singing In Sicily Summer Program curated by pianist Mark Markham, collaborations with the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland, the Free Library of Philadelphia with ENA Ensemble, and her concert debut of “A Different Kind of Song: The March of Black Women” in Ellicott City, Maryland in conjunction with the Howard County Historical Society and the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts. She is currently an arts administrator for DC Strings Workshop. Ms. Freelon is located in the Baltimore, Maryland area.
