Raycurt “Fiddla” Johnson is a graduate of Bethesda-Chevy High School. He began his musical training with the D.C. Youth Chorale under the tutelage of Edward Jackson which enabled his entry into the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in the inaugural year of the school.

He was awarded full scholarship to the Eastman School of Music -University of Rochester, New York, as a vocal major until the natural change, consequently he continued his studies on the Viola.

A performer and producer of jazz and classical music concerts and recordings throughout the United States and Europe. He has performed with the notables Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Bette Midler, and Carmen McCray. Akademisches Festival Orchester, Leipzig, Kammerorchester de St. Laurentius, Dessau, Germany. National Gallery of Art Orchestra, and the American University Symphony.
